Unbelievably delicious, high-protein sweetmeat with no processed sugar. Super healthy sweet peanut balls.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup jaggery
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
  • 2 teaspoons clarified butter or vegetable oil

Method

In a heated pan, put clarified butter or vegetable oil. Add jaggery. Allow it to melt on low heat. If it is getting dark brown, remove the pan from heat for 15-20 seconds to allow it to cool a little. Keep stirring to allow it to melt.

Once the jaggery has melted completely, turn off the heat and mix in 3/4 of the roasted peanuts.

Grind the remaining peanuts to make a coarse powder.

Allow the jaggery peanut mixture to cool just enough so that you can mould it with your hands. If too cool, it will break apart.

Make a small ball from the jaggery peanut mixture and roll it in ground peanuts. Don’t wait to make all the balls before rolling them in ground peanuts; it won’t stick after the jaggery cools down completely.

Put a ball in your mouth and experience its incredible taste.
