You cannot go wrong with potatoes. These crunchy patties full of spiced potatoes make a great snack.
- 7-8 potatoes (boiled, peeled and mashed)
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- Salt and black pepper
Add the spices and cilantro to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
Take a tablespoonful of the potato mix and roll it into a ball. Now flatten the ball between your palm and fingers to make a patty. Make more patties from the remaining mix.
In a pan, heat 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Place the patties (as many as the pan can hold and you can comfortably manage). Keep the heat medium.
In about a minute, the patty should have a crust. Flip it over to fry the other side.
When both sides are a deep brown, remove from heat.
Serve hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney!
