This savory Indian fried bread is best accompanied by chickpea curry/chole!

Ingredients for bhatura

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil for frying

Cooking

To make the dough, mix flour, salt and vegetable oil. Add water little by little to make the dough.

Cover and leave for 6-8 minutes.

Knead the dough a little more to make it smoother.

Divide into smaller dough, the size of a ping pong ball.

Roll out the dough. Instead of dry flour, use oil to roll.

In a deep pan or wok, heat 3/4 cup vegetable oil for frying.

Carefully put the rolled out dough into the oil.

When one side turns light golden, flip to fry the other side.
