Cauliflower is delicious and healthy, and better still if it is made with Indian spices.
- 1 cauliflower
- 1 tomato
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger (finely chopped)
- 2 teaspoons cilantro (finely chopped)
- Salt and black pepper
Chop the cauliflower into bite-size pieces. Chop tomato into small pieces.
In a deep pan or wok, put 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
After the oil is sufficiently heated, put cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
Put coriander powder and turmeric powder. Put tomatoes and cauliflower. Add salt and mix.
Put 1/4 cup water and cover. Let it cook on medium heat.
After about 18 minutes, uncover and add ginger, black pepper, red chili powder, and 3/4 of cilantro. Mix well.
Remove from flame and transfer to the serving bowl. Garnish with the remaining cilantro.
Cauliflower curry is best had with chapati.
