Delicious and nutritious rice meal, vegetable fried rice is a popular rice dish across Asia. It varies slightly in different parts of Asia. You can put chicken, pork, fish, or any additional vegetables to suit it according to your taste.
Ingredients for Veg Fried Rice:
- 2 cups rice
- 1 cup finely chopped vegetables (carrot, tomato, spring onion greens, cabbage, celery, french beans)
- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 3 pinches black pepper
Put rice in 4 cups of water. On high heat, bring to boil. Cook on low for 15 minutes till the rice is dry. Set aside.
In a pan, put 2 tablespoons oil. Stir fry the vegetables.
Add rice, soy sauce, fish sauce, salt and pepper. Fry for 7-10 minutes.
